Richmond, London - 000's of Challengers eagerly await their start in the tented village. There’s 100km of trails ahead, over 60% of it off-road, with some wonderful countryside before the final climb over the South Downs with the coastline in view at last, and the welcome finish line awaits down the home straight of Brighton Racecourse.

Whether you're a walker and new to endurance events, or even a marathon runner looking to 'up' the distance - you'll get the best support and hospitality through day & night. The Full 100km, with 1,500 metres of climb, can be done as a continuous Challenge - or as a 'Daylight 2 Day' option with camping at halfway.

With Half and Quarter distance options available - there's a Challenge here for all!

FULL - London to Brighton

Starting from leafy Richmond to sunny Brighton across High Weald and the South Downs. This is a great route with over ~1,500m of climbing across the full 100km - you will be rewarded with incredible views and wonderful countryside.

Distance & Elevation: 100km/ 1490m

Start location: Richmond, W. London

Start times

  • 6.45am - 7am Runners
  • 7am -10am Walkers/Joggers

Finish location: Brighton Racecourse, Brighton

Finish times: 

  • Runners - 9 - 16 hrs
  • Joggers - 16 - 20 hrs
  • Walkers - 20 - 36 hrs (max time)

Food & Rest Stops: Every 10-15km under marquees with support - including toilets, medics, massage, changing rooms, rest areas, hot & cold drinks, snacks and much more.

  • 25km - sandwich/picnic lunch
  • 56km - 3 course hot meal
  • 80km - dinner / cooked breakfast
  • 100km - cooked breakfast / BBQ
  • Glass of fizz, medal & t-shirt!
  • Snacks & drinks every 10-15km

FULL Daylight - London to Brighton
      100km over 2 days + camp option

The 2 Day 100km option breaks it into the 2 halves of 56km on Day 1 and 44km on Day 2 - so you'll experience the route in daylight as well as the chance for some sleep overnight. You can join our camp at Turners Hill (56km), or book a B&B.

  • Day 1: Sat 6.45 - 7am runners, 7-10am walkers 
  • Day 2: Sun 6-6.30am for all

Finish location: Brighton Racecourse, Brighton

Finish times:

  • Runners - 4 - 8 hrs per day
  • Joggers - 7 - 10 hrs per day
  • Walkers - 10 - 17 hrs per day

Food & rest stops: Every 10-15km under marquees with support - toilets, massage, changing rooms, medics, rest areas, hot drinks, water & snacks and much more. 

  • 25km - sandwich/picnic lunch & fizzy drinks
  • 56km - three course hot meal
  • 80km - brunch/ lunch

1st HALF - London to Turners Hill

The 1st Half is a varied 56km with ~760m of climb. Setting out along the river Thames you will explore some of London's scenic suburban areas before the route heads over the North Downs and into the rolling countryside.

Finish location: Tulley's Farm, Turners Hill

  • Runners - 4 - 8 hrs

2nd HALF - Turners Hill to Brighton

If you want to support someone taking on the 100km Challenge you can join them in Turners Hill from 5pm Saturday onwards - or take on the 2nd Half on Sunday for a marathon+ challenge through Sussex, over the South Downs and on to Brighton.

  • Sat - join a Full Challenger - from 5pm
  • Sun - 6 - 6.30am start

  • Joggers - 7 - 10 hrs
  • Walkers - 10 - 16 hrs

  • 25km (signed as 80km) - hot lunch
  • 56km (signed as 100km) - BBQ

1st QUARTER - London to Oaks Park

Our 1st Quarter Challenge takes you through leafy Richmond and along the River Thames. It is a scenic and fairly flat route all the way to Oaks Park, near Sutton.

  • Runners - 2 - 3 hrs
